Last Friday's Potato Soup Supper at the Divide Pikes Peak Community Center was nothing short of extraordinary!
Imagine a night filled with warm bowls of delicious potato soup, fresh salads, and mouthwatering desserts—all shared among friends and neighbors. The atmosphere was electric with fun and camaraderie, showcasing the heart and soul of our community.
We celebrated our incredible volunteers and board members who’ve made this year’s events a resounding success. Tim Miller from the Rampart Library District highlighted our partnership that brings valuable resources to Divide, while David Martinek updated us on the exciting restoration of the old Divide train depot. Thom Seehafer elaborated on the new podcast “Teller Time” that is recorded in the community center and sponsored by the Historical Society. And let’s not forget Roger "Digger" Haddix—his captivating presentation on local baseball history had everyone singing along to "Take Me Out to the Ball Game"!
With near-record attendance despite the chilly rain, we witnessed firsthand how food, history, and community spirit intertwine to create unforgettable moments. Thank you to everyone involved—your passion makes our community thrive!
